Abandoned Japanese Cursed Temple 3D Prop Series – Kami Stone:
The Kami Stone is inspired by Maruishi-gami, a sacred stone from Yamanashi Prefecture known for its mysterious origins and varied folklore. Notably, there is no singular prescribed method of worship associated with it, which led me to reflect on the hidden mysteries that surround this enigmatic object. To convey these layers of ambiguity and folklore, I incorporated symbolic elements such as handprints and blood-like textures, interpreted through moss and organic detailing. These additions serve to deepen the metaphorical resonance of the piece, evoking themes of ancient rituals, spiritual presence, and the unseen forces that shape belief.

This Torii Gate is part of an ongoing personal project inspired by the dark, atmospheric aesthetics of the anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. The project aims to expand my skills in optimized 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, and texturing. As the first asset in the Abandoned Japanese Cursed Temple prop series, this piece explores environmental storytelling through stylized decay and spiritual symbolism.
