I sought to evoke a mysterious and longing atmosphere through the use of lighting and environment design, incorporating visual motifs such as locks, keyholes, and keys woven into the assets. The scene is inspired by the anime Re:Zero-Starting Life in Another World and centers on an immortal being confined within a vast library. Although she possesses the ability to leave freely, she remains bound by a mental and emotional restraint the promise of her late master, who foretold that a chosen one would one day come to release her. My intention was to reflect her inner conflict and hesitation in the moment when the protagonist invites her to leave. She questions whether he is truly the destined figure and struggles with the uncertainty of what grounds she has to place her belief in him.
